When the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) postponed its football season due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the league needed to fill the content gap their cancelled matches left.
They reached out to Infront X to build a digital strategy around a content-rich solution that would expand their reach and increase fan engagement.
SPFL leveraged Engage to reach their fans and create more fan interactions across their digital properties. They used Vote, the bracket-building product, each week which enabled fans to select the archived match which was streamed each week. They also used Poll to have fans vote on ‘Team of the Season’ content.
Given the success of these campaigns, including site traffic and fan participation, the SPFL is looking to increase monetization opportunities by commercializing these assets.
