To make deeper connections with their growing fanbase, FIBA (the International Basketball Association) sought a technology partner to improve the user experience and increase the global downloads across their apps.
FIBA selected Infront X to design and develop the mobile apps for its flagship international events including EuroBasket, the Basketball Champions League, the Basketball World Cup and the Women’s World Cup.
After capturing initial requirements for features and overall ecosystem, we developed an extensive product roadmap and outlined the underlying data structures to support their various apps.
Our discovery phase revealed fans wanted a more user-friendly interface and a more targeted experience. The apps reflected these desires while also achieving FIBA’s organizational goals.
The new apps let fans personalize their preferences and receive custom content on their favorite players and teams. Additionally, the LiveBasketball TV feature lets users watch live FIBA World Cup games on the Basketball Champions League App.
We've worked closely with FIBA over the last few years, overseeing the launch of a series of apps including the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 app. For the first time, we were also able to bring the FIBA app experience to China.
